The progressive adoption of new technologies in the business sector impose significant challenges for financial service professionals, compliance officers, business owners, and regulators to ensure cybersecurity in the online environment. Securing sensitive data, ensuring that it is used for legitimate purposes and are not involved in any money laundering and terrorism financing schemes is becoming increasingly crucial. The session's objective is to address these key challenges and to introduce some basic preventative actions that the professionals may adopt and perform.
Olesya Chrysanthou is a financial specialist and expert with over 15 years in accounting, auditing, anti-money laundering, business, cybersecurity and new technologies industries.
She is a Founder, Managing Director, and AML Compliance officer of CPV Corporate Services Ltd, a company specializing in providing accounting services to companies dealing with complex derivative transactions. Olesya is also a Co-Founder of I.Q. Partnership, a bespoke consultancy.
Olesya Chrysanthou graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University of Finance and Economics in 2006 with a degree in Accounting, Analysis, and Audit. In 2012 she obtained an ACCA qualification, becoming a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and in 2017 she became a Fellow of this association. In 2019 she became a member of the International Compliance Association (the ICA), completing the International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering. In 2020 she obtained certification from the International Cyber Threat Task Force (ICTTF) with the Certified Cyber Risk Officer's credential. In 2021 Olesya obtained certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab with Cryptocurrency credentials, and the same year she acquired an EU diploma of Trainer of Vocational Training - EU Qualification Framework (EQF) Level 5 (#SEP003984).
Olesya successfully combines the generation and implementation of innovative ideas and projects with business analytical activities and management to empower professionals with advanced learning opportunities and training courses.
